beautiful Kiesel guitar! What model is it?
Vader. It's got a Birch top and an Alder body. The neck is quarter sawn maple with an ebony Fretboard. The radius is 20" with stainless steel jumbo frets. I'm using the Kiesel Holdsworth Bridge pickup, Kiesel Lithium single coil in the middle, and a Lithium humbucker in the neck.
@@derrylgabelBeautiful guitar; I bought a used 27" scale 7 string Vader hard tail that I love, also beautiful and delightful to play! I can't make it sound perfectly like Allan though; that takes someone way beyond my abilities, like you!
Mr Gabel is top-tier..guitarist extraordinaire...he chose the most technically,talent demanding style.
Mr Gabel is a guitarist's guitarist...along with the likes of Brett Stine,Renaud Louis,Richard Daudè..and half a dozen more.. They rule the world of fusion guitar,one of the more complex,beautiful..and talent demanding forms of contemporary art.

Great work, Derryl! I have one question: do you need use hybrid picking or hammer-ons from nowhere to play this outstanding outside parts? Or it's just all legato and pick? Thanks!
I think there may be some hammers from nowhere. It should be notated in the transcription. As far as hybrid picking, I only use that when Allan uses it. As far as I can tell, he's not using it in this solo but he will use that technique on occasion. If you check out the live solo of Pud Wud from 1997 at the Carvin Booth, you'll see him use it in places. I have posted a transcription and performance of that on my channel.
